Pre-party Plan: Whole Day Plan

So that's what to do, and now here's how to do it. This plan can be used during the day before any evening party, but it will bring much better results if you stick to it for two or three days before you plan to drink.

Morning

  • Take 200mg of milk thistle.
  • Breakfast on a bran cereal topped with skimmed milk and two tablespoons of blueberries, with two pieces of toast topped with banana. Also drink a glass of orange juice.
  • Drink at least three glasses of water during the morning: the more fluid in your body the less dehydrated you'll be when you drink alcohol.
  • Snack on two pieces of fruit heavy in vitamin C - try kiwi, guava, mango, strawberries or oranges.
Afternoon
  • Take another 200mg of milk thistle.
  • For lunch, have a grilled chicken breast salad; you can make the salad detox-heavy by including spinach, red peppers, tomatoes, artichoke hearts and shredded red cabbage.
  • Drink another four glasses of water.
  • Snack on two pieces of vitamin-C-rich fruit - or make a smoothie from a glass of milk, two tablespoons of blueberries and two tablespoons of strawberries.
Evening

  • Take 1,200mg of A/-Acetyl-Cysteine.
  • Dine on the perfect mix of protein, carbohydrates and fat. A good meal is spaghetti bolognese: lean mince, red peppers, tomatoes and aubergine served over wholewheat pasta and topped with two tablespoons of grated cheese.
  • You can drink one cup of coffee, and you should also try to consume four more glasses of water before the party starts.
  • Go out and enjoy yourself.
Before bed

  • Take another 200mg of milk thistle.
  • Drink 500ml (just under 1 pint) of water, or a large glass of orange juice.
