Lighten-up Plan: Living the Detox Life

When it comes to the Lighten-up Plan, you probably know what it takes to live the detox life - don't drink like a fish or eat everything in sight for more than one day at a time! However, for more constructive advice, re-visit the first section of this book.

  • Food toxins aren't bad for your body in small doses. Whenever possible, try to stick to 'safe' limits.

  • Building four to five detox foods into your daily diet will help strengthen your detox system ready for any over-indulgences. You are then less likely to feel dreadful when you do.

  • If you know there's a big night out coming, use the detox supplements or advice in plans like the Pre-party Plan to boost your body.
The Lighten-up Plan is also good at showing you what exactly in your diet is controlling you rather than you controlling it. If you had real problems with caffeine or sugar cravings, for example, take a look at the Decaf Plan and the Sugar-busting Plan to try to tackle these specifically.
